    Opvolger Limewire??

    FROSTWIRE IS LIMEWIRE ZONDER TROEP
    Limewire is met installaties op naar schatting 18 procent van alle PC's wereldwijd nog altijd het meest populaire P2P-programma. Maar aan Limewire kleven nogal wat bezwaren. Zo heeft het programma een Pro-versie die niet gratis is. Al die features om sneller te kunnen downloaden, zitten echter ook in het nieuwe, gratis én open-source-programma Frostwire. Net als Limewire doorzoekt Frostwire bekende Gnutella-netwerken, ondersteunt het BitTorrent-downloads en biedt het iTunes-integratie. Bij Frostwire zit, in tegenstelling tot Limewire, geen spyware in het downloadpakket. Verder belooft Frostwire een beter spamfilter tegen nep- en virusbestanden.
